Sterlite Technologies’ Q1 FY27 Results: Profit Jump 19x, Revenue Grows 87%

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL), [BSE: 532374, NSE: STLTECH], a major Indian Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) manufacturer, has posted its financial results for Q1 of FY27.

During Q1 FY27, STL earned a consolidated revenue of Rs. 1,910 crore, representing a YoY increase of 87.44% as compared to Rs. 1,019 crore revenue in Q1 FY26. Also, the company’s profit jumped 19.7 times to Rs. 197 crore during Q1 FY27 from Rs. 10 crore PAT in the first quarter of FY26.
The company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) stood at Rs. 4.03 in Q1 FY27 against Rs. 0.20 in Q1 FY26.
QoQ Comparison of STL’s Financial Performance: Q1 FY27 vs. Q4 FY26
On Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis, the company mentioned an increase of 32.55% in its revenue from Rs. 1,441 crore reported during Q4 FY26. The company’s Q1 FY27 PAT was 3.34 times of its Q4 FY26 PAT. STL’s Q4 FY26 PAT stood at Rs. 59 crore.

Optical Networking Business: Sterlite Technologies’ Optical Networking Business designs and manufactures optical fiber, optical fiber cables, and optical interconnect products. This business earned a revenue of Rs. 1,842 crore during Q1 of FY27, up by 91.68% YoY from Rs. 961 crore revenue reported for Q1 of FY26.
Digital and Technology Solutions: The company’s Digital and Technology Solutions segment provides technology solutions to telecom companies. STL’s revenue from its Digital and Technology Solutions segment increased by 12.5% to Rs. 72 crore during Q1 of FY27 from Rs. 64 crore in Q1 of FY26.
STL Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Order Inflow, Announces Rs. 1,500 Cr. Capex
The company delivered an impressive performance during the first quarter of FY27. During its earnings call, the company’s management mentioned that its order inflow stood at Rs. 13,100 crore during the quarter, while STL’s order book stood at Rs. 18,618 crore as of 30th June 2026.
Highlighting the company’s capital expenditure plans, Mr. Ajay Jhanjhari, Group Chief Financial Officer of STL, said that the company had completed a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) of Rs. 1,500 crore to fund the ‘next phase of growth’. STL will invest Rs. 500 crore annually over the next three years. These funds are earmarked for upgrading equipment across the entire value chain, including glass, fiber, cable, and connectivity, as well as for debottlenecking current operations to improve yields and output.
