Sterling and Wilson Wins RE and BESS Orders Worth Rs. 985 Cr.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has secured two orders worth Rs. 985 crore collectively for India and overseas. The company shared this news in its press release dated 22nd September 2026.
One order is for executing Balance of System (BoS) works for a 534.3 MWp solar project in Rajasthan. The order has been awarded by an Independent Power Producer (IPP). Once commissioned, this project is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 0.80 million tonnes.
The second order, secured in South Africa, has been awarded by a Middle East-based renewable energy project developer. The order involves developing two Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, each with a storage capacity of 308 MWh, taking the combined capacity to 616 MWh. These projects will be executed on a turnkey EPC basis.
