SJVN Green Energy Wins 100 MW Solar Power Project from GUVNL

SJVN Green Energy Ltd. (SGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN Ltd., has won a 100 MW solar power project in Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.’s (GUVNL) solar power auction. This project’s estimated cost of development is Rs. 550 crore. SJVN Limited shared this information in its stock filing dated 25th January 2024.

SJVN Green Energy will develop this solar power project on Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis at GUVNL’s solar park which is under development in Khavda, Gujarat. The company has secured this solar project by quoting a tariff rate of Rs. 2.54 per unit. Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) will be signed after the Letter of Award (LoA) for this project is issued.

SGEL’s solar power project is expected to generate 252 Million Units (MU) of power in the first year after commissioning and about 5,866 million units of electricity over a period of 25 years.
