SJVN Green Energy Secures 200 MW Wind Energy Project Worth Rs. 1,400 Cr.
SJVN Green Energy Ltd. (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Ltd. has secured a 200 MW wind energy project from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The estimated cost for the development of this project is Rs. 1,400 crore.
The aforementioned project falls under SECI’s scheme for developing 1,200 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected wind power projects in India (Phase XIV). SGEL secured this project through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) with a quoted tariff of Rs. 3.24 per unit. SGEL will develop this project on Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis, and it is expected to generate 578.16 Million Units (MU) of power per year. During its 25-year lifetime, this project is expected to generate about 14,454 MU of wind power.
The aforementioned project will be commissioned within a period of 24 months post signing the Power Sale Agreement (PSA).
