SJVN Green Energy Floats 1.5 GW Tender for Hybrid Power Projects in India

SJVN Green Energy Ltd. (SGEL) a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids for the development of 1,500 MW of hybrid (windsolar) power projects in India, which will be connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS). Successful developers will be selected through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.

Selected power developers will develop these projects on Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis. As per the tender, bids must be submitted for a minimum capacity of 50 MW and a maximum of 750 MW in multiples of 10 MW. SJVN will sign a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders to procure the generated electricity. As per SGEL’s tender, in every project, the power generated from one of the components (either wind or solar) must contribute 33% of the total power generated.

The deadline for submitting bids is 19th March 2024.
