Saatvik Green Energy’s Solar Push: UDAY Inverter Launch, Rs. 3,150 Cr. CapEx in Odisha

Saatvik Green Energy Ltd., an Indian manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) modules, has launched its ‘UDAY’ series of on-grid solar inverters. Apart from this, the company has also earmarked a sum of Rs. 3,150 crore as capital expenditure at its Odisha facility.
UDAY On-Grid Inverters: Company’s Foray into Solar Inverter Manufacturing
Saatvik Green Energy’s UDAY on-grid solar inverters mark the company’s debut into manufacturing on-grid or Grid-Tied Inverters (GTIs). Till now, Saatvik Green Energy has been primarily engaged in the production of solar panels.
As per the company’s official release, the launch of UDAY series solar inverter signifies “…a strategic shift from module manufacturing to comprehensive solar solutions for homes, businesses, and industries”.
“World-Class Efficiency, Reliability, and Scalability” – Company CEO
While describing the company’s new launch, Mr. Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Green Energy, described that UDAY on-grid inverters have been designed to operate with “…world-class efficiency, reliability, and scalability”. Mr. Mathur added that this series of inverters can be installed in homes, commercial establishments, as well as in industrial settings.
Single-Phase & Three-Phase Variants to be Offered
Saatvik Green Energy’s UDAY on-grid solar inverters will be available in single-phase and three-phase variants. Single-phase inverters will be offered in the 1.1 KW to 6 KW range, whereas three-phase inverters in this series will be in the 6 KW to 50 KW range. While single-phase UDAY inverters are suitable for domestic rooftop installations, three-phase variants are more suited for commercial and industrial uses. Both these variants of UDAY on-grid solar inverter are capable of receiving a maximum of 20 A input current per string of solar panels.
Moreover, these inverters offer IP65 protection and offer high efficiency, being capable of converting 99% of the DC supply from solar panels to AC power for the grid.
UDAY Solar Inverters to Cater Domestic Market
These inverters will be made available only within India, and therefore, will cater to the domestic market.
According to a Renewable Watch report published on 4th March 2025, India’s solar inverter market has seen major growth in recent years, fueled by the nation’s focus on renewable energy adoption. Grid-connected solar inverters represent about 80% of India’s solar PV market. This market is projected to reach USD 1.1 billion by 2026, growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 14.4% over 2020–2026.
Saatvik Green’s Rs. 3,150 Cr. CapEx for Expanding Solar Manufacturing Capacity
