Polycab India FY25 Financials: Revenue Grows 24%, PAT Jumps 13%

Polycab India Ltd. (PIL) [NSE: POLYCAB, BOM: 542652], a leading Indian manufacturer of cables and wires, has announced its financial results for the quarter and year ended 31st March 2025.

Polycab India Standalone Financial Performance: Q4 FY-25 & FY-25

For Q4 of FY-25 the company reported a standalone revenue of Rs. 6,841.22 crore and Rs. 730.69 crore as its Profit After Tax (PAT). Polycab’s Earning Per Share (EPS) stood at Rs. 48.58 during Q4 of FY-25.

For the entire financial year 2024-25, Polycab reported Rs. 21,913.95 crore as its standalone topline and Rs. 2,001.96 crore as its PAT. Polycab’s EPS stood at Rs. 133.14 for the full FY-25.

Polycab India reported a consolidated revenue of Rs. 6,985.80 crore during Q4 FY-25, marking an increase of 24.93% Year-over-Year (YoY) from its Rs. 5,591.90 crore revenue logged for Q4 of FY-24. Correspondingly, PAT during Q4 of FY-25 increased to Rs. 734.36 crore, which is up by 32.68% YoY from the company’s Q4 FY-24 profit of Rs. 553.48 crore.

Considering the full financial year, In FY-25 Polycab recorded a top line of Rs. 22,408.31 crore, thus exhibiting an increase of 24.22% from its annual revenue of Rs. 18,039.44 crore in FY-24. Following the same upward trend, the company’s annual PAT grew to Rs. 2,045.54 crore in FY-25, which is 13.46% higher than its FY-24 PAT of Rs. 1,802.92 crore.

Moreover, the company’s Q4 FY-25 Earning Per Share (EPS) stood at Rs. 48.31. For the entire 2024-25 fiscal, Polycab’s EPS was reported as Rs. 134.34.

QoQ Comparison of Polycab’s Financials: Q4 FY-25 vs. Q3 FY-25

On a Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis, Polycab’s revenue increased by 33.67% from its Q3 FY-25 revenue of Rs. 5,226.06 crore. The company’s PAT also soared by 58.15% QoQ from Rs. 464.35 crore earned during Q3 of FY-25.

Wires & Cables: Typically, the bulk of Polycab’s topline is constituted of its wires & cables segment revenue. During FY-25, The company’s Wires & Cables segment revenue constituted 85.65% of the company’s gross revenue*. In fact, the company’s revenue from this segment is usually the highest amongst all Indian cable and wire manufacturers, making it the market leader in this segment.

*Gross revenue refers to the sum of segmental revenues without deducting any inter-segmental revenue.

The company earned Rs. 6,019.07 crore as quarterly revenue during Q4 FY-25 from its wires and cables segment, which represents a remarkable growth of 22.35% YoY. In Q4 of FY-24, Polycab clocked Rs. 4,919.70 crore revenue from this segment.

Considering the entire fiscal, Polycab reported a staggering revenue of Rs. 19,236.63 crore from its wires and cables vertical. This reflects an 18.16% increase from its Rs. 16,280.59 crore wires & cables revenue for FY-24.

FMEG: In Q4 of FY-25, Polycab’s FMEG segment generated Rs. 476 crore revenue, marking a 32.91% YoY increase from Rs. 358.14 crore in Q4 of FY-24.

Over the full financial year, Polycab’s FMEG revenue grew by 29.52% to Rs. 1,682.18 crore in FY-25 from Rs. 1,298.82 crore in FY-24.

EPC: Polycab’s revenue from this segment surged YoY by 46.75% to Rs. 602.83 crore in Q4 of FY-25 from Rs. 410.79 crore in Q4 of FY-24.

Moreover, the company’s EPC revenue for entire FY-25 was 2.43 times of its FY-24 annual revenue from this vertical. In FY-25, Polycab earned a revenue of Rs. 1,919.24 crore from its EPC segment against Rs. 788.77 crore in FY-24.

Polycab Crosses Rs. 20,000 Cr. Revenue Target One Year Ahead of Schedule

Polycab India had targeted to achieve Rs. 20,000 crore revenue by FY26, but the company has already crossed this target by reporting over Rs. 22,000 crore revenue for FY25 The company mentioned in its investor presentation “Polycab is now the largest Company in the electrical industry by revenue”. Moreover, as per Polycab, the company’s domestic cables and wires market share has increased by about 1% YoY to 26-27% in FY-25.

Polycab’s Targets for Next 5 Years

In its corporate presentation for its FY-25 performance, Polycab mentioned that it will invest about Rs. 6,000 crore to Rs. 8,000 crore over the next five years for expanding its operations. Apart from this, the company targets to increase share of exports in its overall annual revenue to over 10% in the next 5 years. In FY-25, the company’s exports brought in 6% of its FY-25 revenue.
