Paramount Communications Q2 FY-25 Revenue up 41%, PAT Jumps 4%

Paramount Communications Limited [NSE: PARACABLES, BOM: 530555], a Delhi-based cable manufacturing company, has announced its financials for Q2 of FY-25.

During Q2 of FY-25, Paramount Communications earned a standalone revenue of Rs. 352.10 crore from operations and the company’s Profit After Tax (PAT) for the period stood at Rs. 20.27 crore.

Paramount Communications’ Revenue: Q2 FY-24 vs. Q2 FY-25 vs. Q1 FY25

Paramount Communications’ revenue rose by 40.98% YoY to Rs. 355.89 crore during Q2 of FY-25 from Rs. 252.44 crore earned in Q2 of FY-24. Q2 PAT of the company also showed an increase of 4.31% to Rs. 20.33 crore during FY-25 from Rs. 19.49 crore in FY-24.

However, the company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) fell to Rs. 0.67 during Q2 of FY-25 from Rs. 0.86 reported for Q2 of FY-24.

It is interesting to note that the company’s revenue growth rate (YoY) has been declining over the past three quarters. In Q4 of FY-24, revenue saw YoY increase of 60.02%. However, this growth rate dropped to 52.49% in Q1 of FY-25 and further declined to 40.98% in Q2 of FY-25.

On a Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis, Paramount Communications’ revenue increased by 10.85% from Rs. 321.06 crore earned during Q1 of FY-25. On the other hand, PAT of the company fell by 19.64% from its Rs. 25.30 crore PAT for Q1 of FY-25.

Wire and Cables: Paramount Communications earned a revenue of Rs. 352.10 crore from its Wire and Cables segment during Q2 of FY-25 against Rs. 250.28 crore logged during Q2 of FY-24. This shows a YoY increase of 40.68% in the company’s quarterly segmental revenue.

Pipes: Paramount’s revenue from Pipes business stood at Rs. 4.30 crore in Q2 of FY-25 which is twice of the company’s Q2 FY-25 revenue of Rs. 2.15 crore from this segment.

Paramount Communication to Increase its Production Capacity

The company mentioned in its earnings release for Q2 of FY-24 We are pleased to report that with an investment of INR 525.1 million [Rs. 52.51 crore] in capital expenditure for FY 2023-24, our debottlenecking plans are progressing well, aimed at increasing our production capacity to approximately 33,000 MT annually.

The company recognizes US as its largest export destination. Paramount Communications also mentioned that it is focusing on telecom and power sector projects for creating income sources.

As per Paramount Communications’ investor presentation for Q2 of FY-25, the company’s order book stood at Rs. 619.3 crore for second quarter of FY-25.
