L&T Heavy Engineering Secures Orders Valued upto 2,500 Crore

Larsen & Toubro’s Heavy Engineering arm has secured multiple orders from India and overseas, of a total value between Rs. 1,000 crore and Rs. 2,500 crore. This information was given by L&T in a press release dated 13th October 2022.

Domestic orders won by L&T Heavy Engineering include multiple orders for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.’s (IOCL) Panipat Refinery Expansion P25 project. This includes an order for a site-welded and integrated Chrome-Moly-Vanadium (Cr-Mo-V)* reactor. L&T Heavy Engineering has also secured orders for high-pressure heat exchangers. Moreover, it has also secured manufacturing orders for Cr-Mo-V reactor for Residue Hydro-Cracker Unit (RHCU) from IOCL for the P25 project.

Overseas orders secured by L&T Heavy Engineering include those for the supply of reactors for renewable diesel production from Singapore. It has also secured the order to supply four coke drums for a Mexico-based oil refinery. L&T’s Heavy Engineering business has also secured an order from China for two tubular reactors from a petrochemical company.

*Cr-Mo-V is a type of steel which is suited for high-temperature applications. This steel is usually used in making fasteners and other power plant equipment.
