L&T Construction Wins Large Road and Water Infrastructure Contracts

The construction arm of Indian multinational Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged Large* contracts from various businesses in India. L&T operates in over 30 countries worldwide and is engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and financial services.

Transportation Infrastructure Business: L&T Construction has secured engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract of following projects:

L&T Larsen & Toubro
  • An EPC contract is won to construct packages 11 and 22 of Delhi-Vadodara Expressway. The scope of work of this NHAI project includes 8 lane greenfield expressway of 36 Kms, including service / slip roads, interchanges, major / minor bridges, vehicular / pedestrian / cattle underpasses, animal underpasses / overpasses, etc.
  • Another EPC contract has been won from Public Works (Roads) Directorate, Government of West Bengal. The scope of work includes reconstruction of 4 lane Tallah road overbridge, Kolkata, West Bengal.

Water & Effluent Treatment Business: L&T Construction has secured EPC order from State Water & Sanitation Mission, Uttar Pradesh. The contract is to implement water supply schemes for Shivhar and Parasi group of villages in Mahoba and Sonbadhra districts.

Water Efflunet Treatment project general

The total scope of work of both the projects includes design & construction of three intake structures, three water treatment plants of capacity 64 Million of Liter per Day (MLD), 1171 Km of transmission and distribution pipelines, 20 clear water reservoirs, 37 overhead service reservoirs, 20 pumphouses, 73,600 house service connections along with associated electromechanical works. The scope also includes SCADA & other instrumentation works.
