L&T Wins Rs. 5,000 – 10,000 Cr. of T&D Orders

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a major Indian EPC player, has won orders in India and overseas valued between Rs. 5,000 crore to Rs. 10,000 crore collectively. These orders have been won by L&T’s Power Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business.

In India, the company has won an order for executing works on 765 KV and 400 KV transmission lines in a Renewable Energy (RE) zone of Andhra Pradesh.

L&T’s international orders include setting up of 220 KV and 132 KV Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) in the Middle East. The company did not specify the names of clients from which it has received these orders, but mentioned that the awarding entities are ‘leading transmission asset owners and operators’ in the region.

Highlighting the significance of these orders, the company mentioned in its press release “The new orders mark a key milestone for PT&D [Power Transmission and Distribution vertical of L&T] in its pursuit of delivering future-ready grid infrastructure to help realise the energy transition and sustainable energy goals of its valued customers”.
