L&T’s Mr. Kumaresan T. Promoted to Senior VP & Head of Minerals and Metals Vertical

Mr. Kumaresan T. of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Head of its Minerals and Metals business.

Mr. Kumaresan T. completed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Salem, Tamil Nadu. He is a fellow member of Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE, UK), and holds a Project Management Associate certification from the International Project Management Association (IPMA). Mr. Kumaresan T. has also pursued management programmes at prestigious institutes such as Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) at Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata, Ross School of Business in Michigan, and Harvard Business School. In 2018, he undertook an organizational leadership programme at INSEAD, Singapore.

Mr. Kumaresan has spent over 32 years with Larsen & Toubro. He joined L&T as an Assistant Engineer in 1992. After holding various important positions in the company from 1992 to 2007, he was appointed as Chief Project Manager in 2008. Later, in 2015, Mr. Kumaresan began serving as Vice President and Head of L&T’s Minerals and Metals business, a role he held for over 7 years.

Before being promoted to the company Senior VP and Head for its Minerals & Metals business, Mr. Kumaresan was serving as Executive Vice President and Head – Minerals & Metals Strategic Business Group.
