KPI Green Energy Wins its Largest Renewable Energy Order Yet from Coal India
KPI Green Energy Limited has secured its ‘largest-ever’ Renewable Energy (RE) order from Coal India Ltd. This order involves the development of a 300 MW ground-mounted solar power project at Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd.’s solar park in Khavda, Gujarat. In its press release dated 2nd December 2024, KPI Green Energy specified an estimated development cost of Rs. 1,311 crore for this project.
KPI Green Energy will undertake development of this 300 MW solar power project on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. After commissioning of this project, KPI Green Energy will also provide Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services for a period of five years.
Commenting on this order win, Dr. Alok Das, KPI’s Group CEO said “This order is a validation of our capabilities, dedication, and the trust our clients place in us. We are committed to delivering this project within the stipulated timeline while upholding our promise of innovation and sustainability”.
KPI Green Energy mentioned in its earning call for Q2 FY-25 that the company targets an installed RE capacity of 10 GW by 2030. According to Dr. Das, “This project embodies our endeavor to achieve the ambitious group target of reaching 10 GW capacity by 2030”.
