KEC Secures Orders Worth 1,061 Cr., First Gauge Conversion Railway Order

KEC International has won various orders collectively worth Rs. 1,061 crore across its Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Railways and Cables businesses. The company shared this information in its stock filing dated 7th June 2024.

KEC’s orders in the Railways segment include its ‘Maiden’ order for composite gauge conversion works in India. The company has also won an order from Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC) for setting up a power supply system. This order includes establishment of receiving substation, high voltage cabling, and executing associated civil works for BMRC.

In T&D sector, the company has secured an order from a private developer for laying transmission lines and establishing a substation in India. Outside India, KEC has won an additional order for laying transmission line in Malaysia. Further, the company will also supply towers, hardware, and poles in Americas.

The company will supply power transmission conductors to a renowned infrastructure player in India. KEC has also secured order for supplying various types of cables in India and overseas.

With these orders, KEC’s Year-To-Date (YTD) order intake stands at over Rs. 3,000 crore.
