JSW Steel Reports Highest-ever Quarterly Crude Steel Production
JSW Steel reported its highest-ever quarterly crude Steel production during Q3 of FY-25. The company reported a consolidated crude Steel production of 7.03 Million Metric Tonne (MMT) during the quarter ended 31st December 2024, which includes 6.82 MMT from JSW Steel’s operations in India and 0.21 MMT from its US operations.
Capacity utilisation of JSW Steel’s operations in India was at 91% during Q3 of FY-25 and was slightly compromised because of maintenance activity at one of the blast furnaces at JSW Steel’s 10 MMT Per Annum (MMTPA) Dolvi plant during October 2024.
Considering the company’s future targets, JSW Steel aims to achieve 43.5 MMTPA consolidated crude Steel production by September 2027, which includes 42 MMTPA from its India-based operations and 1.5 MMTPA from its operations in the US.
For Q3 FY25, JSW Steel’s crude Steel production from its India-based operations exhibits a 3% growth on both Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) and Year-over-Year (YoY) basis. As for the company’s consolidated crude Steel output, there has been a QoQ growth of 4% and a YoY growth of 2%.
