Jakson Green Inks its First Renewable Energy PPA with SECI

Jakson Green Private Ltd., part of the Jakson Group, has signed its first Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a utility-scale solar power project.

In July 2023, Jakson Green had secured 200 MW solar power capacity by quoting a rate of Rs. 2.60 per unit in SECI’s auction (Tranche XI) for setting up 2 GW grid-connected solar power projects in India. The aforementioned PPA has been signed as a result of this auction. Jakson Green will be responsible for finding suitable location and developing the solar power project. Obtaining subsequent approvals and securing connection of the project to Inter-state Transmission System (ISTS) network also falls under Jakson Green’s scope of work. Jakson Green will supply the generated solar power to SECI, which will then sell this power to various DISCOMS.

This project is expected to be operational within 18 months from the date of signing PPA.
