ISGEC to Construct INR 260 Cr Waste to Energy Plant near Bengaluru

Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd., a Government of Karnataka owned power generation company has awarded contract for construction of 11.5 MW Waste to Energy (WTE) Plant in Bidadi near Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The contract has been awarded to a consortium of Noida based ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. and Hitachi Zosen India Pvt. Ltd., a direct subsidiary of Japanese Hitachi Zosen Corporation.

The project has an estimated cost of INR 260 Crore and has to be completed in next two years. The plant would consume municipal waste of Bengaluru and nearby areas. A similar plant setup by the same consortium is presently functional in Jabalpur.
