Indian Govt Sanctions Rs. 3,760 Crore for 34 National Highways in Gujarat
Government of India has approved a sum of Rs. 3,760.64 crore for works on 34 National Highways in Gujarat. This total sum has been sanctioned for the period 2022-23.
Out of the total sum, Rs. 2,511.10 crore is for the construction of roads, while Rs. 1,249.54 crore will be used for the construction of bridges and other associated structures like Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and Road Under Bridges (RUBs).
Some of the projects that will be funded by this amount include a 12.8 Km road from Narol Junction to Ujala Junction, which will be built at a cost of Rs. 350 crore. A 50.8 Km long road connecting Mahuva and Amreli will also be built with two railway overbridges and new bridges at a cost of Rs. 451.50 crore. NH 168-G connecting Bhiloda with Shamlaji will also be constructed using Rs. 450 crore out of this sanctioned amount.
