Control and Monitoring

The ATS system monitors and controls over 45 electrical parameters. These include voltage, current, frequency, power factor, energy usage, run time, power-on duration, and maximum demand in both Kilowatts and Kilovolt-amperes.

Data is recorded with timestamps and stored for up to six months, allowing for performance analysis and maintenance planning. Users can access this data remotely through mobile and desktop interfaces.

Voltage Range and Supply Options

The system operates across a wide auxiliary voltage range, from 18V DC to 330V AC. It can also be powered by an external supply, ensuring continuous operation in varied electrical environments.

Safety Integration

The new HPL Electric ATS includes a linkage to fire protection systems. This feature allows the automatic transfer switch to respond to fire-related events by initiating control actions or alerts.

Communication and Remote Access

Communication protocols supported include RS485 MODBUS, Ethernet, and cloud-based IoT platforms. The system can be integrated with PLC, SCADA, and EMS setups. Access is secured through password protection, and current values—including peak loads—can be transmitted to remote devices.

Maintenance and Serviceability

The motor module is modular and can be removed without disconnecting power terminals, simplifying maintenance. HPL has mentioned that it provides spare parts and service personnel across India to reduce downtime and support field operations.

HPL Targeting Growth in Domestic Electrical Equipment Market

HPL Electric & Power Ltd, listed on Indian stock exchanges, reported revenue of approximately ₹1,700 crore in FY 25. The launch of ‘Supreme Intelligent ATS series’ is part of expansion of its intelligent power systems range, targeting growth in the domestic electrical equipment market, which is valued at around ₹5,00,000 crore (Source: FY 22-23 IEEMA Report).
