Hindustan Construction – Tata Projects JV wins Rs. 2,191 Cr. Contract for Indore Metro

Hindustan Construction Company Limited (HCC) in Joint Venture (JV) with Tata Projects Limited has secured an order from Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corp. Ltd. (MPMRCL) for construction works on Indore metro phase 1 project. These works will be executed under Package IN-05R of the metro project.

Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corp. has estimated the development cost of this project at Rs. 2,550 crore and HCC-Tata Projects JV had bid Rs. 2,191 crore for this construction contract.

Scope of work in this project includes construction of 11.32 Km long twin-tunnel and seven underground stations. These underground stations will be constructed at Indore Railway station, Rajwada, Chota Ganpati, Bada Ganpati, Ramchandra Nagar, BSF/Kalani Nagar and Airport. Architectural finishings, sanitary installations, water supply, and other associated works for this project will also be executed by HCC-Tata Projects JV.

Package IN-05R of Indore metro phase 1 project specifies a completion period of 4 years.

Hindustan Construction Company holds a stake of 55%, while Tata Projects owns the remaining 45% stake in the aforementioned JV.
