Hindustan Construction Emerge L1 Bidder for two Packages of Patna Metro

Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. has emerged as Lowest (L1) bidder for two packages of Patna Metro phase 1 project. The company is L1 bidder for packages PC05 and PC06 of Patna Metro phase 1 with bids of Rs. 1,418.30 crore and Rs. 1,147.50 crore respectively. Both these packages pertain to Line-1 (East-West Line) of Patna Metro phase 1, which will connect Danapur Cantonement to Khemni Chak.

Scope of work in package PC05 includes design and construction of twin tunnel and three underground stations, namely, Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan and Patna Station on Line 1 of Patna Metro Phase 1. This package also includes execution of other associated works, including architectural finishings, water supply and sanitary installations.

Package PC06 of Patna Metro involves construction of 3 underground stations at Rukanpura, Raja Bazar and Patna Zoo. Work in this package also includes designing and construction of twin tunnel and other related works including water supply, sanitary installations and architectural finishings.

A completion period of 42 months from the date of receiving the Letter of Award (LoA) has been specified for these packages.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had invited bids for these packages in December 2023 with an estimated development cost of Rs. 1,683 crore for packages PC05 and Rs. 1,377 crore for PC06.
