Havells Allotted Land in Alwar for Plant Expansion

Havells India Ltd., a major Indian cable & wire, and Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) manufacturer, has been allotted 1,58,200 sq.m of land by Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO). This information was shared by Havells India via its stock filing dated 17th September 2025.

Land allotted to Havells is adjacent to its existing Alwar cables plant, where the company is undertaking capacity expansion. Interestingly, this plant is also the largest single-location cables manufacturing plant in India.

In May 2025, Havells had shared its plan to increase production at Alwar to 41.45 lakh Km of cables annually from 32.90 lakh Km by September 2026 with a total investment of Rs. 715 crore. In fact, this was a revision of the company’s July 2024 plan, which envisaged capacity expansion at Alwar to 41.20 lakh Km of cables per year by March 2026 with an investment of Rs. 375 crore. Havells has clarified that this recently allotted land parcel will be used to meet the revised capacity expansion target at Alwar. The company, however, has not specified the exact nature or type of cables for which this capacity expansion is being undertaken.
