GUVNL Floats Tender to Procure Power from 500 MW Wind Power Projects

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) has issued a tender to procure power from 500 MW wind power projects in India. The tender also includes an option to procure an additional 500 MW of power through ‘Greenshoe Option’*.

Scope of work under this tender involves development, construction, and operation of grid-connected wind power projects. Successful bidders must connect their projects to either the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) or State Transmission Utility (STU) network to enable energy delivery up to the designated point. Wind power developers must bid for a minimum of 10 MW for Intra-State Transmission System (InSTS)-connected projects and 50 MW for Inter-State Transmission system (ISTS)-connected projects.

Last date to submit bids for this tender is 12th August 2024.

*Greenshoe option allows the developer to build additional power capacity, which supplies power at same tariff as the original bid.
