Gruner Renewable Wins Projects Worth 1,500 Cr. for Compressed Biogas Plants

Noida-based Gruner Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd. has secured projects collectively worth Rs. 1,500 crore for development of Compressed Biogas (CBG) Plants across India. The company shared this information in a recent LinkedIn post.

Among these projects, Gruner Renewable Energy has won 11 contracts valued at Rs. 1,100 crore from ‘one of India’s leading business conglomerate’, and 19 projects worth Rs. 400 crore from ‘individual business leaders’. These projects will be developed across various cities, including Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, Satna in Madhya Pradesh, Balasore in Orissa, Navsari in Gujarat, Yavatmal in Maharashtra, Vijayawada & Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh and others. Additionally, Gruner plans to expand its workforce by approximately 900 employees, bringing the total number of employees to 2,500, including site workers, by the Q2 of FY-25.

As per the company, these CBG plants are expected to collectively produce over 88,000 tonnes of compressed biogas annually for Indian market.

Gruner Renewable Energy is a fairly young company, which started its operations in February 2023. Currently Gruner has about 30 bio-CNG projects in its portfolio. The company is targeting an order book of Rs. 5,000 crore by the end of FY-25.
