Gravita India to Acquire Rashtriya Metal Industries, Enter Copper Business

Gravita India Limited, a global recycling company specializing in Lead, Aluminum, Plastics, Rubber, and Lithium-ion batteries, has signed an agreement for the acquisition of Rashtriya Metal Industries Limited.

Through this acquisition, Gravita India will enter the copper recycling business.

As per Gravita India’s official stock filing, the company will invest Rs. 565 crore for this acquisition. This investment will made through the company’s internal accruals. The acquisition of Rashtriya Metal Industries is expected to be completed by 31st March 2026.

Mentioning the objectives behind this acquisition, Gravita India stated that it is part of the company’s initiative to expand its presence and strengthen its capabilities.

Rashtriya Metal Industries is a manufacturer of copper and copper alloy products (strips and coils). The company exports its products to UAE, USA, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, and Indonesia.
