GR Infraprojects Receives LoI for Power Transmission Project in MP
Rajasthan-based GR Infraprojects Limited (GRIL) has received Letter of Intent (LoI) from REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for establishing transmission system to evacuate power from Solar Energy Zones (SEZ) in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh. The announcement was made in a stock filing by GRIL, dated 1st April 2022. The scheme is officially called “Transmission system for evacuation of power from renewable energy (RE) projects (2,500 MW) in Rajgarh SEZ in Madhya Pradesh”.
Scope of work in the first phase of this scheme includes one 400/220KV, 3×500 MVA substation at Pachora SEZ pooling point along with a 125 MVAR bus reactor; a 400KV double-circuit line from Pachora SEZ PP to Bhopal substation of Sterlite Power. Two 400KV line bays at Bhopal (Sterlite) substation have also been planned.
GRIL had emerged as the lowest bidder through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mode for the development of the project in Build-Own-Operate-Maintain (BOOM) mode.
