Govt. Approves Rs. 16,300 Cr. National Critical Mineral Mission
Union Cabinet has approved National Critical Mineral Mission (NCMM) with an anticipated expenditure of Rs. 16,300 crore. NCMM is expected to bring in investments to the tune of Rs. 18,000 crore by public and private players. This move is targeted towards enhancing India’s production of critical minerals such as Lithium, Copper, Silicon and rare earth metals, which are key in sectors such as Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy technology, defence technology and more.
