Genus Power Subsidiary Wins 3,121 Cr. Order for Installing Smart Meters

Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd. through its wholly-owned subsidiary has secured an order worth Rs. 3,121.42 crore for the development of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system. This information was given by the company in its press release dated 23rd October 2023.

The order includes supplying, installing and commissioning of 36.27 lakh smart prepaid meters and DT meters on Design, Build, Finance, Own, Operate and Transfer (DBFOOT) basis. The company will also be responsible for providing Field Management Services (FMS) for the aforementioned smart meters.

Genus Power stated that numerous State Electricity Boards (SEBs) have initiated the bidding process for installing smart meters under Reforms-Based Result-Linked Power Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
