G R Infraprojects Emerges L1 Bidder for Rs. 945 Cr. Civil Contract of Nagpur Metro

G R Infraprojects Limited (GRIL) has been declared as Lowest (L1) bidder for civil construction works of Nagpur Metro Phase 2 project. This project will be executed under package C-02 of Nagpur Metro Phase 2.

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha-Metro) invited bids for this package with an estimated development cost of Rs. 945 crore and GRIL has submitted a bid of Rs. 903.53 crore for this package.

Scope of work in this project includes design and construction of 17.62 Km long elevated metro viaduct between Chainage (Ch.) 21256.814 to Ch. 38881.7 of Nagpur Metro Rail Project (NMRP) Phase 2. This viaduct will be part of Nagpur Metro’s Orange line’s Reach 1A. It is to be noted that construction of metro stations will be carried out via a different package of the Nagpur metro, namely C-09.

This project also includes construction of two special spans measuring 79 m and 100 m in length over Indian Railways lines. Additionally, design and construction of a 1.14 Km long 6-lane double-decker portion with a vehicular underpass is also included in scope of work of this project.

As per Maha-Metro’s tender, this project is expected to be completed in a period of about 2 years and 5 months.
