EAPL to Develop Battery Manufacturing Unit in Himachal Pradesh

Eastman Auto and Power Ltd. (EAPL), an arm of Eastman Group, is planning to develop a battery manufacturing unit in Nandpur, Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. This new unit will be spread over an area of 1.07 acre.

This proposed unit will manufacture 1.20 lakh inverter batteries and solar batteries per annum. E-rickshaw batteries will also be manufactured in the aforementioned unit, which will have a capacity of 1.50 lakh units per annum.

The company will be commencing work on this project by July 2023.
