Diamond Power Plans Rs. 168.62 Cr. CapEx for Vadodara Factory

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited, branded as DICABS, has outlined a Capital Expenditure (CapEx) programme of Rs. 168.62 crore for multiple expansion and modernisation projects at its manufacturing plant in Vadodara, Gujarat. The company shared the details in its Q1 FY27 investor presentation.
DICABS’ CapEx Programme Divided into Three Parts
The company has divided the planned capital expenditure into three parts. Part A focuses on Low Tension (LT) cable capacity expansion, Part B covers the installation of additional aluminium corrugation lines, while Part C includes the installation of the company’s sixth Catenary Continuous Vulcanization (CCV) line.
Details of Part A: LT Cable Capacity Expansion
Under Part A of the expansion plan, Diamond Power will invest Rs. 133.59 crore to expand its LT cable manufacturing capacity. The expansion is expected to increase the company’s LT cable production capacity to 52,300 Km per annum from 34,300 Km per annum.
The project includes upgrading the existing rod mill and conductor plant into a modern Low-Voltage (LV) power and control cable manufacturing facility. Commercial production from the expanded facility is expected to commence in FY28.
Work Scope in Part B Expansion Plan: Aluminium Corrugation Lines
Part B of the CapEx programme involves installing two additional aluminium corrugation lines to address existing manufacturing bottlenecks in the production of 66 KV and 132 KV cables.
Diamond Power will invest Rs. 17.03 crore in this part of the programme, with completion targeted for June 2027. The additional corrugation capacity is expected to generate an incremental contribution of Rs. 8.7 crore per month for the company.
Part C of Expansion Programme: MV Cable and Sixth CCV Line
The third part of the CapEx programme includes the installation of the company’s sixth Catenary Continuous Vulcanization (CCV) line at an investment of Rs. 18 crore. Diamond Power expects to commission the sixth CCV line before December 2027.
Diamond Power’s Q1 FY27 Financial Performance and Order Book
Diamond Power recently announced its Q1 FY27 financial results, reporting revenue of Rs. 689.88 crore and profit of Rs. 58.47 crore. Revenue increased 2.29 times year-on-year (YoY), while profit after tax (PAT) increased 3.56 times compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
In addition, the company’s order book stood at Rs. 3,687.55 crore as of 11th August 2026.
