Dhunseri Group Announces ₹1,250 Cr Poly-Film Factory in West Bengal

Kolkata-based Dhunseri group announced the setting up of a ₹ 1,250 crore packaging poly-film factory at Panagarh Industrial Park in Paschim Bardhaman district of West Bengal. The project is being implemented by Dhunseri Poly Films, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dhunseri Ventures Limited to manufacture flexible packaging films that are used in packaging for FMCG products like chips and tea.

The plant will be spread over 38 acres. First phase of the plant will manufacture polyester films i.e, BOPET with a production capacity of 45,000 TPA at an overall investment of over Rs 400 crore.

In a press statement, Mr. Chandra Kumar Dhanuka, Executive Chairman and Promoter, Dhunseri Group said “the annual production in the first year of operation (of Pangarh Poly-Film factory) is expected to be 45,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) with a target of increasing it to 1,60,000 tonnes by 2026-27“.
