Delton Cables’ Q1 FY-25 Revenue Jumps by 106% YoY

Delton Cables Limited [BOM: 504240], a Delhi-based cable manufacturing company, has released its financial results for Q1 of FY-25.

Delton Cable’s Revenue from Operations for Q1 FY-25 was Rs. 143.48 crore, and the company’s Profit After Tax (PAT) during the period was Rs. 3.02 crore.
Delton’s Earnings Per Share were Rs. 3.50 for Q1 FY-25.

Delton Cables’ Quarterly Revenue from Operations grows by 106% YoY
Delton’s Year-On-Year (YoY) Revenue from Operations saw an increase by 106.4% in Q1 FY-25 from Rs. 69.53 crore during Q1 FY-24. Further, as per the company’s earnings presentation for Q1 FY-25, “During the past 4 quarters, Delton’s revenue has been growing at 20% CAGR” – Delton Cables Q1 FY25 Earnings Presentation.
Delton’s Quarter-on-Quarter (QoQ) revenue comparison saw an increase of 8.9% in Q1 FY-25 from Rs. 131.78 crore in Q4 FY-24.

YoY PAT Jumps to 137% in Q1 FY-25
Delton’s Q1 FY25 PAT jumped by 137.8% YoY from the company’s Q1 FY-24 PAT of Rs. 1.27 crore .
Considering QoQ comparison, the company’s PAT fell by 52.14% from Rs. 6.31 crore in Q4 FY-24.
Following the same YoY trend as PAT, Delton’s EPS saw a significant jump, to Rs. 3.50 in Q1 FY-25 from Rs. 1.47 in Q1 FY-24.
Railway Cables’ Sales Contribute Most to Delton’s Q1 FY-25 Revenue, Order Book at Rs. 294 Cr.
The company mentioned in its investor presentation that Delton Cables generated Rs. 63 crore from sales of railway cables during Q1 of FY-25. Apart from this, the company reported sales of Rs. 53 crore from sale of cables for EPC projects in Q1 FY-25. Telecom cables and sales from Delton’s ‘other’ products contributed Rs. 10 crore and Rs. 17 crore respectively to the company’s revenue during Q1 of FY-25. Other than cables, Delton’s product portfolio comprises switchgear products such as MCBs, RCCBs, changeover switches, and more, although contribution to revenue is quite small at present.
As for its total order book, Delton Cables’ mentioned in its earnings presentation that the company’s orders total to Rs. 294 crore as on 30th June 2024.
Delton is expanding its manufacturing base and is setting up a new plant for EPC Cables in Palwal, Haryana. The company has leased an industrial property sprawling over 8,650.069 square meter for this plant. The production at this plant is expected to begin by September 2024.
Delton Cables’ Stock Jumped 5% After Announcing Q1 FY-25 Financials
Delton’s share price stood at Rs. 572.35 apiece on the trading day after announcement of its Q1 FY-25 financials, which is 4.96% higher as compared to Delton’s share price of Rs. 545.30 apiece on the day of announcement of results. Volume of Delton Cables’ share trades peaked at 10,000 trades after Delton Cables announced its Q1 FY-25 financials against 4,000 trades on the day of announcement of results.
