CII Odisha State Council Appoints New Chairman & Vice Chairman

Odisha State Council of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has appointed Mr. Sunil Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of Vedanta Limited’s Aluminium business, as its new Chairman and Mr. Arya Suresha G as its new Vice Chairman for FY-26.

Newly elected Chairman of CII Odisha completed B.E in Electrical Engineering from Ujjain Engineering college in 1993. After graduating, he started his career with ACC Limited as Cluster Head (eastern region & projects) in 1993. He worked at ACC for about 25 years. After ACC, Mr. Gupta joined KJS Cement (I) Ltd. as its Chief Executive Officer and served the position for over four years from 2017 to 2022. He had also served as CEO of Vedanta’s Jharsugada plant for over one year.

Mr. Arya Suresha G, Executive Director of AM/NS India, has been appointed as Vice Chairman of CII Odisha. He graduated in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering in 1993. Mr. Arya then pursued MBA in Operations Management from IGNOU in 2004. He also completed Business Administration and Management course from IIM, Bangalore. He began his career at Kudremukh Iron Ore Co. Ltd. as its Deputy Manager in 1994 and worked there for over 13 years. In 2007, Mr. Suresha joined Kobe Steel as its project controller and served the position for more than a 4 year period. He has also worked at Jindal Steel and Power as its Executive Vice President for over 12 years.
