Bids Invited for Electrification Works of PCMC–Nigdi Stretch of Pune Metro

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha-Metro) has invited bids for electrification works of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC)–Nigdi section of Purple Line of the Pune Metro project. The PCMC–Nigdi section spans 4.15 Km and features four elevated metro stations.

Scope of work in the tender includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 25 KV flexible overhead catenary system, 25 KV sectioning posts, and a 33 KV Auxiliary Sub-Station (ASS). The tender also covers the installation of associated cabling and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for the project.

Last date to submit bids for this tender is 7th August 2025.

Maha-Metro’s tender specifies a completion period of two years and one month from the date of issuance of the Letter of Acceptance (LOA).

In July 2025, Union Cabinet had approved development of two new corridors under phase 2 of Pune Metro rail project with a development cost of Rs. 3,626.24 crore.
