Avaada Energy to Develop 1,400 MW of Solar Power Projects for NTPC, SECI, GUVNL

Avaada Energy will be developing 1,401 MW of solar power projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The company has emerged as the winner in solar project tenders issued by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) and NTPC Ltd.

Avaada Energy will develop 700 MW of solar power projects for NTPC, 421 MW of solar power for SECI and remaining 280 MW for GUVNL. These projects are expected to be completed in a period of 24 months. Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for these projects will be signed for a period of 25 years. Post commissioning, these solar power projects are expected to generate 2,410 Million Units (MU) of power collectively every year.

Commenting on this development, Mr. Vineet Mittal, Chairperson of Avaada Group, said, “With these latest additions, Avaada’s expansive portfolio now boasts approximately 6 GW of projects in various stages of development, complementing our operational capacity of approximately 4.1 GW”.
