Ashok Kumar Panda Appointed Director of Finance at SAIL

Dr Ashok Kumar Panda has taken charge as Director (Finance) at Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL). Prior to this he was serving as the Executive Director (Finance) at SAIL.

SAIL’s newly appointed Director (Finance) completed Bachelor’s of Engineering (B.E) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1990 from Odisha’s Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla. He then pursued Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Finance from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, which he completed in 1999. Dr. Panda also acquired Ph.D. in Business Finance.

Mr. Panda started his career with SAIL as a Management Trainee after completing his graduation. He started working as the company’s Assistant General Manager (Finance) in 1992 and served the position for more than 18 years. He was promoted to the company’s Deputy General Manager (Finance, Commercial & Strategy) in 2014 to Chief General Manager (Corporate Finance) in 2018.
