Apar Industries Appoints Former Polycab CBO, Shashi Amin as CEO
Apar Industries has appointed Mr. Shashi Amin as their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr. Amin was previously associated with Polycab India Ltd. and held the position of Executive President & Chief Business Officer (Cables).
Shashi Amin’s Career Profile
Mr. Shashi Amin started his career with Nicco Corporation Ltd. in 1989 where he reached the position of Senior Manager. After this he joined Polycab India in 1996 as General Manager and was the company’s first sales employee working closely with Polycab CMD Mr. Inder T Jaisinghani. He then switched from Polycab for a comparatively short stint at BICC Bahrain from February 1999 to July 2000.
He came back to Polycab in August 2000 and served till March 2005 before starting his entrepreneurial venture Arc Electrics Pvt. Ltd.
He again joined Polycab as Vice President-Sales, in July, 2011, and worked with the company till March, 2022.
Mr. Amin was also Director for the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) from October, 2021 to February, 2022.
Shashi Amin’s Educational Background
Mr. Amin received his bachelors’ degree in engineering (Electrical Power systems) from Amravati University in 1989. In 1995, he completed his master’s degree in marketing management from Principal L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management and Research, University of Bombay, Mumbai.
