Jindal Power Appoints Mr. Sudip Nag as Managing Director

Jindal Power Limited has appointed Mr. Sudip Nag as Managing Director (MD).

Mr. Sudip Nag completed his Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from National Institute of Technology Durgapur in March 1987. He brings over 39 years of experience with major power companies to his new role.

He spent the majority of his career at NTPC Limited, where he held key executive positions, including Executive Director & Mission Director and Regional Executive Director for Eastern Region-I. One of his major achievements includes spearheading SAMARTH (the National Mission on use of Biomass in Thermal Power Plants) under Ministry of Power.

Prior to his latest appointment, he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Adani Power Limited, beginning in August 2025. In this role, he oversaw operations & Fuel sourcing for the company’s 12 Thermal Power Stations.

With expertise in Thermal Power operations, fuel management, and renewable energy integration, Mr. Nag’s experience directly complements Jindal Power’s plans for renewable energy and hybrid integration in thermal power.
