Vindhya Telelinks to Expand Optical Fibre Cables Manufacturing Capacity

Vindhya Telelinks Limited, an Indian EPC player and cable manufacturing company, has announced a capital expenditure of Rs. 101.70 crore to expand its Optical Fibre Cables (OFCs) manufacturing capacity. The company shared news of this expansion plan along with the publication of its FY26 financial results.

Under the expansion, Vindhya Telelinks will increase its OFC manufacturing capacity from the current 0.5 Million Fibre Kilometres (fkm) per annum to 3 Million fkm per annum. According to the company’s official stock filing, the augmented capacity is expected to be commissioned by the end of FY27.

This expansion will be funded through a combination of suppliers’ credit, internal accruals, and Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs).

Explaining the rationale behind this expansion, Vindhya Telelinks mentioned that this capacity addition is expected to support increasing demand for reliable solutions in fast-growing sectors such as cloud data centers, as well as other optical fiber cable products.
