BMRCL Floats Packages for Bengaluru Metro Ph- 3, Estimated at 4,187 Cr.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) has invited bids for three civil construction packages of the Bengaluru Metro Rail Project Phase 3. The estimated cost for these three packages is Rs. 4,187.41 crore.
The bid submission deadline is on 25th February 2026, and the bid opening date is on 27th February 2026.
Three Packages to Cover 18.58 Km of BMRCL Phase 3 Project
The combined total length of construction required in these three packages comes to 18.58 Km. All three packages include completion of loops and ramps, road widening, utility diversion, and other works associated with the Bengaluru Metro Rail Project’s Phase 3.
Scope of Work Under Package-1 of Bengaluru Metro Rail Project’s Phase 3
Out of the three packages mentioned above, Package-1 has an estimated cost of Rs. 1,375.66 crore. The works in Package-1 entail the construction of four elevated double-decker metro stations, viz., JP Nagar 5th Phase, JP Nagar, Kadirenahalli, and Kamakya Junction.
Additionally, Package-1 includes the construction of an 826 m viaduct along with a 5.695 Km rail-cum-road flyover. The project also includes the demolition of the Dollars Colony Junction flyover. The total length of the BMRCL phase-3 project under package-1 is 6.521 Km.
Details of Package-2 Under Bengaluru Metro’s Phase-3
Package-2 has a tender cost of Rs. 1,396.10 crore. Scope of work in Package-2 encompasses construction of a 5.408 Km stretch, which will include metro viaduct, rail-cum-road flyover, and four elevated double-decker metro stations. The said elevated stations will be Hoskerehalli, Dwaraka Nagar, Mysore Road, and Nagarbhavi Circle.
Works Under Bengaluru Metro’s Phase-3 Project Package-3
Furthermore, the Rs. 1,415.65 crore Package-3 bid entails the construction of a 6.652 Km long stretch that will include a 5.328 Km rail-cum-road flyover. Also, this stretch includes four elevated metro stations, wherein three will be double-decker metro stations on Corridor-1 at Vinayaka Layout, Papareddy Palya, and BDA Complex Nagarbhavi. The remaining one station will be an elevated single-decker metro station on Corridor-2 at Sunkadakatte.
As a part of Package-3, the tender mentions the development of a depot entry line from Corridors 1 & 2 towards the Sunkadakatte Depot and a depot exit line.
Three Packages Among Eight Floated for Bengaluru Metro Phase 3 Project
The Bengaluru Metro Rail Project’s Phase 3 plan consists of two major corridors spanning 44.65 Km, which are to be divided into eight packages. The three packages discussed above are the initial ones, which leave five more packages out of eight. Moreover, these initial packages will focus on the southern and western portions of the Bengaluru Metro Phase 3.
