Maha-Metro Floats Rs. 224 Cr. Civil Works Tender for Thane Metro Rail Project

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MAHA-Metro) has floated a tender for the execution of construction works under Phase 1 of the Thane Metro Rail Project. The tender specified an estimated cost of Rs. 223.70 crore.

Scope of work in the tender includes construction of six elevated metro stations located at Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, Manpada, Dongripada, Vijay Nagari, Waghbil, and Waterfront in Thane. The selected bidder for this project will be required to complete construction works within 30 months from the date of award of the contract.

Last date for submission of bids is 22nd January 2026.

Thane Metro Rail Project, officially known as Thane Integral Ring Metro, is a 29-Km mass rapid transit system designed as a circular corridor to serve Thane, Maharashtra. The project was approved by the Union Cabinet in August 2024 with an investment of Rs. 12,000 crore. The entire project will comprise 22 stations, of which 20 will be elevated, and two will be underground. Thane Metro Rail Project is expected to become operational by 2029.
