Google to invest Rs. 1.33 Lakh Cr. in Andhra to Develop Large-Scale AI Hub
Google will be investing USD 15 billion (about Rs. 1.33 lakh crore) in Andhra Pradesh to build a GW-scale AI ecosystem. This investment includes construction of data centres built in partnership with AdaniConneX. Google will also develop a new subsea cable landing station in Vizag in partnership with Airtel. This investment will be over the course of next five years, and will generate 5,000-6,000 direct jobs and 20,000-30,000 total jobs. Moreover, new Renewable Energy power plants will also be set up to power this AI hub.
