Rail Vikas Nigam receives LoA from South Eastern Railway

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from South Eastern Railway for an electrification project worth Rs. 191.53 crore in Jharkhand. This information was shared by RVNL in its stock filing dated 24th July 2024.

Scope of work in this contract includes the designing, supplying, testing, and commissioning of a 132-KV traction substation, sectioning and sub-sectioning posts. This will be implemented in the 2×25 KV system on the Rajkhaswan-Nayagarh-Bolani section of Chakradharpur division. This project aligns with Ministry of Railways’ 3,000 Million Tonne (MT) annual freight loading target by 2027.

The company is expected to complete the contract in 18 months.
