Tata Power Solar Wins ₹ 386 Cr Leh Solar PV Project with Battery Storage System
Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd. has been awarded a contract to build 50 MWp solar PV plant with 50 MWh battery energy storage system at Phyang village in Leh. Estimated order value is INR 386 Crore and target date for commercial operation is set for March 2023.
The scope of work for Tata Power Solar includes design, engineering, supply and procurement, construction of solar photovoltaic grid-connected power plant project and battery energy storage system on a turnkey basis along with 10 years of operations and maintenance services.
The Leh solar PV plant with battery energy storage system will be co-located at a high altitude of 3,600 meters above sea level and will be the first large-scale solar PV project in the union territory of Leh-Ladakh.
