Suzlon Energy Appoints Mr. Ajay Kapur as Group CEO

Suzlon Energy has appointed Mr. Ajay Kapur as Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Key Managerial Personnel of the company with effect from 24th February 2026.

Mr. Ajay Kapur has an extensive work background during which he has worked the longest with Ambuja Cements Ltd. (A LafargeHolcim Group Company). At Ambuja Cements, he served for over 26 years in multiple capacities, including working as its CEO and Managing Director (MD) for the cement business.

Apart from this, among his multiple roles working for different companies, he has also worked along with Vedanta Resources Ltd. for their aluminium and power business, where he held positions such as CEO and MD. Prior to his appointment at Suzlon Energy, Mr. Kapur served as Managing Director of Ambuja Cements Ltd. (Adani Group Company).

With over 36 years of leadership experience in cement, power, and heavy metals sectors, Mr. Ajay Kapur will help transform Suzlon. Currently, the company deals with only wind power-related solutions, but with his leadership, the company expects to turn into a renewable energy conglomerate.
