L&T Wins T&D Orders Worth Rs. 2,500-5,000 Cr. in India & Overseas
Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a major Indian EPC player, has secured orders in India and overseas collectively worth between Rs. 2,500 to 5,000 crore. These orders have been won by L&T’s Power Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business.
In India, the company has won an order for laying 765 KV and 400 KV transmission lines. These transmission lines will be used for evacuating power from Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in Uttar Pradesh. L&T has also won an order for laying 400 KV transmission line for evacuating power from a ‘non-fossil fuel-based powerplant’ in Southern India.
Overseas, L&T has secured an order for setting up 380 KV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) and supplying associated reactors and installing hybrid GIS bays in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, in Abu Dhabi, the company has received an order for setting up a 220/33 KV grid station, along with its associated works.
Commenting on the CapEx during the company’s earnings call for its Q3 FY-25 financials, Mr. P. Ramakrishnan, Head of Investor Relations at L&T, said “With India capex expected to pick-up in Q4 [FY-25] and since the international prospects pipeline also remains healthy, we feel confident of exceeding the guidance on order inflows”.
