TARIL Receives ₹100-500 Cr Transformer Order from DVC
Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL) has received a transformer order from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). The order is classified under TARIL’s ‘Large order’ category, which ranges between Rs. 100 to 500 crore.
Under this order, TARIL will handle manufacturing and supply of 500MVA and 200MVA auto transformers. The company will execute all associated ancillary works. The order will be executed in adherence to conditions agreed in Purchase Order (PO).
Project delivery is slated within 15 to 28 months.
DVC is a government-owned power utility corporation that has evolved since its establishment on July 7, 1948, shifting from India’s multipurpose river valley project focused on flood-control to an entity specializing in power generation, transmission, and grid infrastructure. DVC primarily operates thermal and Hydroelectric (hydel) projects across West Bengal and Jharkhand, with an installed thermal capacity of 6,540 MW across six plants.
