Fire at Bansal Wire’s Dadri Plant, No Injuries or Fatalities

In its stock filing dated 3rd October 2025, Bansal Wire Industries Ltd. shared that there had been a fire incident at its Dadri manufacturing plant. This incident took place at around 8:15 p.m. (IST) on 2nd October, 2025 in a shed located near 220 KV sub-section of the company’s Dadri plant.

As per the company, there have been no injuries or fatalities because of the incident. Operations in the affected shed, that is C shed, have been disrupted whereas the rest of the plant is functional and unaffected. As of now, the cause of this incident has not come to light, and efforts to functionalise the affected shed are in progress. The company is still in process of assessing the damages due to the fire. However, Bansal Wire Industries clarified that the damages due to the fire are covered under insurance and that the incident has been reported to the insurance company. Bansal Wire’s release added, “This [the fire] is not likely to have material impact on the Company’s profitability”.

Notably, Bansal Wire’s Dadri plant is its largest manufacturing facility yet with an annual capacity of 3.6 Million Metric Tonne Per Annum (MMTPA). In fact, the company is in process of expanding capacity of its Dadri plant to 4.2 MMTPA. This expansion is being done at a cost of Rs. 70-80 crore, and it will increase production of items such as hose wire, Induction Hardened and Tempered (IHT) wire, and Steel cords.
