KEC Secures Rs. 1,034 Cr. of New Orders, Enters Statcom and Semicon Segments

KEC International has won orders collectively valued at Rs. 1,034 crore. The company has secured these orders in India and in foreign countries across its Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Civil and Cables businesses.

In Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business, the company has received a Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) project from a global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in India. This is the company’s first ever order in the STATCOM segment. As a part of T&D orders, KEC will also supply towers, hardware and poles in the Americas.

Under its civil segment, KEC has won an order for setting up a semiconductor plant for a ‘prominent private player’ in India. “The Civil business has marked its entry into the promising semiconductor segment with a significant order from a new client”, said Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO of KEC. The company has also secured an upstream project from a ‘leading steel player’ in the country.’

KEC International will also supply various types of cables across India.

Commenting on these order wins, Mr. Vimal Kejriwal said, “These strategic orders reinforce our confidence in achieving the targeted order intake for the year and reflect our continued progress in deepening and solidifying our business portfolio”.
